I learned alot from these interviews. The more i began to read the more i enjoyed to listen to them. Right now we have a lot to be thankful for and to listen to these stories on how they had to make money is really touching to me. from the maids to the store clerks everyone had to make money differently and they also had different problems as well. One Man's story that really touched me was the man at eddies bar. He was explaining how he was in newyork but new york is not in him. The one main thing that i learned from these people is that everyone was tested around this time. One maid, mrs. marie Haggerty even said that she saw a five dollar bill while she was cleaning. Now back then a five dollar bill was like maybe 20 dollars which is alot. In the end she did not take the five dollar bill. Even though she needed it, she knew she was being tested. Stealing that five dollar bill could have caused more trouble in the end as well. For selling things they had to make up jingles or have sales like one guy explained. He said it worked. You had to be created, cleaver and smart to survive. As the period went on people learned. In conclusion, the one main thing that i learned was it was a tough time and people were tested, had to be creative, and think on their feet.

In both of the interviews that i read provided little information. Clearly people had little money to their name.
One of the people that was interviewed had no job at all. It clearly shows that during this time information got lost or people just didnt have anything in their life which is just sad.
